here the post on the journey back to jesselton kota kinabalu from kudat
this is the view of kudat early in the morning..
seaside just opposite our cheaplak motel. wonderful morning with beautiful sky and sea. <3 the blue.
and guess what, photos always lie to people. the photos above look so nice and clean. but it actually looks like this..
all around full with rubbish.. just like the night before having tornado.. eww.. the attitude of malaysian who like to make the place dirty! T.T shame of us!
tour guide picked up from our motel and we started to have our tour from kudat to kk.
dropped by a high-end resort..
this one is the clean one.. as pretty as a picture!
swimming pool beside the sea view
kiddos playing in the playground
next…
a significant tourist spot in kudat
another view of the long house
everything is made by bamboo including the floor i stepped on
the wall well decorated with their traditional art and crafts, or some basic daily equipment
some crafts that hand made by those locals
the one sat in the middle was our tour guide. older than us nearly 10 years but she just look so young.. and she is too petite!
gonna climb up to a little summer house
everyone of us at the top. we are pretty light where our total weight couldn’t make the fragile house fall down.
next stop, gombizau kampung madu, a bee farm
they actually spray some chemical to the bees which can make them “dizzy”, so that they will not sting you.
inside a bee box, there are a number of bee hives
the honey just as sweet as me! =) i am just like the bee, producing sweet honey to my loves one, and sting my enemies! wtf. trying to make some jokes lol
this is the hive that full with honey, when the little hole is sealed, which mean there is honey inside.
a photo with the hive. is that hive looks that the hive i normally have on my skin?
we had the chance to witness the local making “gong”, a traditional musical instrument of sabahan.
with the Gongs. my friend said, they look like boobs with nipples. rofl. but seriously, they do look like.
we stopped at a little town called tuaran for tuaran mee for lunch.
tuaran mee. not so bad. the mee texture is nice, and fried with egg, pork and vege.
after that back to kk. before reach kk town, tour guide brought us to a road side stall for this awesome stuff!
there are many stalls on that road which sell the same things.
and tour guide brought us to this one, which also recommended by Axian. lol. she said she chose this stall before Axian go there. lol.
this is called logam. don’t know what is that and fear of getting diarrhea after trying that.
and kelapa bakar (burned coconut)
the coconuts burn like this for hours, until the coconut juice inside get boiling. they say the coconut drink after burned is good for health, which have some treatment effect to kidney. we tapao one, we consumed that at night, and the drink was still warm! the taste same as coconut milk (santan).
well, i shall have this coconut pudding and burned coconut business in kl. youngster fancy desserts what… that’s my business, after i graduate!
after that, we went kk town and meet the other gang of my coursemates! ya, 16 of us were in sabah during that time, only one guy and the rest are girls. and tour guide let 16 of us squeeze in her van! :O
and we went sutera harbour for another sunset! =) our tour guide knew we were upset about the drama in tip of borneo, so she brought us here for another sun set view! this tour guide suppose to end her job once we reached kk, but then she just continue fetching us around for the whole day. how nice is she! <3
nice place, just like the harbour front in singapore or strait quay in penang.. i wonder who own all these… so damn rich! and i knew i will own one soon.. =)
this is the one i will own next time.. my name will be painted on it. so you can easily recognise mine =)
15 of us, another one and also the only guy was the photographer of this photo
mesmerising sunset scenery <3 <3 <3
once the sun is set.. the sky colour is still nice. from yellowish to orange color.
slowly turn to pinkish purple.
and then dark purple before the sky turn dark
..dinner time
a photo with our lovely and dedicated tour guide and also her van behind before she left.
a famous seafood restaurant in kk, “everybody come” (da jia lai)
variety of fresh seafood available where you can choose yourself
salted egg crab with curry leaves. the crab is really cheap, only RM18 per kg. we regret why not just have crab dinner?
pork rib with yum gravy… i forget what’s the name of that gravy.. something with butter one.. yum max!
their significant tau foo. fried tau foo with mayo.
a meal without vege is incomplete.. vege is a must for me. this one is paku pakis. i found that many people never try this before. i used to have it since i was young, parents always brought me to lukut for seafood, then will order this paku vege. i like the texture. =)
lala. ewww, this one RM22, more expensive than the crab. and guess what, this dish is served with lala’s shell, everyone just have at least 2 lala meat only, the rest all are shells. =.=
after dinner, have a walked around kk town. and headed to philippino market
philippino market, where sell fruits, vegetables, and some food. just like ordinary night market lor
day 2 end.
p/s: having pretty healthy lifestyle now, i sleep before 12am every night, and wake up at 7am for jogging. day time learning baking, watch 3 kingdoms series, trim grass in the evening… wao.. i love the current life now! <3
